Education, professional development, and career growth of employees is an important criterion in fulfilling CIKE’s vision, increasing the quality of life in the city by developing its creative potential. The CIKE Capacity Building project aimed to ensure the efficiency and sustainability of the functioning of individual departments of the organization, emphasizing leadership, management, strategic planning, and professional and personal development of employees in non-managerial positions.

In the autumn, we addressed the issue of international project management.
- Communication of international projects
We focused on creating a good communication strategy, defining a target audience, and marketing.
- Teamwork
During the last workshop, we discussed cooperation between departments at CIKE.
Mentors
The experts and mentors in the program were Paul Bogen, Sandy Fitzgerald, and Birgitta Persson from the Olivearte Cultural Agency, who have more than 30 years of experience in managing cultural centers, networks, and organizations. Creative Industry Košice has been cooperating with them since 2011.
Impact
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the travel restrictions taken, the project activities were implemented in the form of interactive online workshops and webinars. Thanks to training in relevant areas, the CIKE team has managed to take the planning, creation, and implementation of international projects to the next level.
The program was supported using public funding by the Slovak Arts Council.
